Our Team

  • Ning Qi is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Earth and Environmental Engineering at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2023, and his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tianjin University in 2018. Before joining Columbia, he was a research fellow at Digital Power System lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He was a visiting scholar at Technical University of Denmark in 2022. His research interests include optimization under uncertainty, trustworthy AI and energy economics in power systems, with a particular focus on energy storage. He was the recipient of IEEE PES GM Best Paper, ESI Highly Cited & Hot Paper, and IEEE TSG Outstanding Reviewer.

  • Ce Bian is an early-career researcher at Columbia University, specializing in extreme climate events and anthropogenic carbon. Her research focuses on the dynamics of these events and their compounding impacts across various environmental and climate-related fields.
